A gated golf community in Rancho Murieta has an association, a guard at the gate and tile on the roofs. An acre lot out by Lake Camanche has an association too, but no gate, no display dates in its documents, and a house set way back off a long driveway. A cottage off Main Street in Sutter Creek has no association at all, just a covered porch and a picket fence. Xmas Light Brothers is based in Plymouth, so we’ve written up the neighborhoods we light one at a time.
Each page below covers what matters for that spot: whether there’s an HOA and what we could verify about its rules, what the roofs and trees are like, and how we’d light a house there. Where we couldn’t confirm a rule, we say so plainly instead of guessing. The longest of them is on the Rancho Murieta Association’s decorative light rule. Quotes are by phone or from photos at (209) 444-1844, and the drive from Plymouth to any of these gates, lots or porches is one we already make.
